I had the pleasure of attending the Boston Holiday Pops last night. We arrived at 6:30pm for a 7:30pm concert. We took advantage of this time to enjoy a nice glass of wine in the fun, upbeat relaxing atmosphere of the Symphony Hall lounge area. There were plenty of tables for sitting which made it easy to speak with friends and family while sipping a glass of wine. You could feel an air of excitement at Symphony Hall last night as we all had braved a traditional New England nor'easter storm to attend the Holiday Pops. The show was very well attended in spite of the inclement weather. Santa even made a guest appearance at the end of the Santa Medley. He said the weather reminded him of the North Pole. Of course, we all enjoyed a good chuckle with this comment.
We had fantastic balcony seats for the concert. During the show we could see those seated below at the tables on the floor enjoying glasses of wine and other libations. I think I would like to try the floor seats next time as this looked like a fun option. Although I have to say our balcony seats were excellent and we had a super view of the performance. We had a fabulous time and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. I highly recommend the Boston Holiday Pops. It's a great event for wine lovers. In addition to the fine entertainment, you can enjoy a glass of wine before the show like we did or during the show if you are seated on the floor. We also saw many people enjoying a glass of wine in the lounge during the twenty minute intermission. I loved attending the Holiday Pops with my family. Two of the highlights of the concert for us were a fun rendition of the Twelve Days of Christmas and the Christmas carol sing along. There are still some tickets available for the 2007 Holiday Pops season but they are going fast. It's not too late to enjoy this fun Boston holiday tradition.
Cheers,
Theresa

Was at the Pops on Sunday. Always very nice. This was the first time in many years that we were early! Usually it's a mad dash for the seats as things are begining. I did relax with a glass of wine before, the time was much enjoyed.
