Taste of Austria at Mountain View Grand

Are you looking for a wine focused getaway this fall? How about a visit to the Mountain View Grand on Thursday, September 22, 2011 at 6:45 pm as they explore the foods and wines of Austria? There will be four courses served, each paired with a fine Austrian wine.

The four-course feast is priced at $95 per person, plus tax, plus gratuity. The evening will start in the fantastic Mountain View Grand Wine Cellar with the sparkling Leo Hillinger Secco and hors d'oeuvres. Then the enjoyment moves to the Garden Room for a four course dinner paired with handpicked wines introduced by Austrian native and wine expert, Klaus Wittauer.

The dinner highlights include a warm savory preparation of aged cheeses and delicately seasoned ham with Anton Bauer, Gruner Veltliner. Also on the menu is an Alpine Mushroom and Lamb Schnitzel served with a buttermilk spatzle and an autumn vegetable ragout. This will be served with the Leo Hillinger, 2008 "Small Hill Red." The 3rd course is Fleisch (herb-infused beef) and Zwiebel Strudel with caramelized onions. This course will be served with the 2009 Markowitsch "Rubin Carnuntum" Zweigelt. The dinner concludes with a selection of Pastry Chef Cedric Beguin's decadent Black Forest ingredients served with Steininger's 2009 Gruner Veltliner Sekt.

Also during the weekend, take advantage of the Mountain View Spa and enjoy a European-inspired spa special, Thursday, September 22, 2011 through Sunday, September 25, 2011.
